Everyone should abide by party’s decisions: NC leader Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh said that everyone should abide by the party’s decision.

Speaking at a program in New Baneshwor on Friday, he said those who opposed party’s decision would fare better if they left the party.

Referring to those leaders and cadres opposing electoral alliance and favoring the NC contesting the polls alone, he said those who want to weaken the NC by staying inside the party would be better off by leaving the party.

Singh added that NC leaders and cadres would be held accountable for the activities carried out in the time in the election.

Leader Singh clarified that though the electoral coalition was not people’s desire, it was circumstantial need of the country. He added the alliance would be maintained till the elections to save the constitution.

He went on to say some leaders within the party had created unnecessary confusion among the people by becoming rebels advocating against the electoral alliance. Singh also said that a group within the party was engaged in a character assassination campaign as its interests were not being fulfilled as planned.
