NEPSE downward trend continues Tuesday

KATHMANDU: The downward trend in the stock market continued on Tuesday.

The market has declined by 14.26 points today. At the same time, the Nepse index has dropped to 2527.58.

The transaction amount has decreased to Rs 1.75 billion.

Out of 13 subgroups all but one went red today. The hotel and tourism group alone rose 0.83 percent on the day.

The life insurance group declined the most today. It fell by 1.52 percent.

Out of the 225 companies listed in NEPSE today, 389,013 shares have been bought and sold at a price of Rs 1.75 billion.

On this day, Shivam Cement had the highest turnover of Rs 79.1 million. Global IME Bank had a turnover of Rs 72.6 million, Nepal Life Insurance Rs 65.9 million, Jeevan Vikas Microfinance Rs 57.8 million, Himalayan Distillery Rs 56.1 million, Nabil Bank Rs 53.8 million and Nepal Telecom Rs 39.6 million, Api Power Rs 38.9 million, NIFRA Rs 32.8 million and Arun Valley Hydropower Rs 32.4 million today.

The share price of three companies had a positive circuit. The share price of Emerging Nepal and NESDO Samridha Microfinance increased by 10 percent and the share price of Rashtra Utthan Microfinance also increased by about 10 percent and had a positive circuit.
