Prime Minister Deuba to visit India from April 1 to 3



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to pay an official visit to India from April 1 to 3.

Issuing a statement on Monday the Ministry of External Affairs of India has informed about Prime Minister Deuba’s visit to India.

He is on a visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister Deuba will be accompanied by his wife Dr. Arju Rana Deuba.

Prime Minister Deuba will leave for India on April 1. This is Deuba’s first bilateral foreign trip since becoming prime minister for the fifth time.

During the visit, Prime Minister Deuba and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks on April 2.

On the same day, he will pay a courtesy call on the Vice President of India.

Foreign Minister of India S. Jaishankar and India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Deuba.

Prime Minister Deuba is scheduled to visit Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh after concluding his programs in New Delhi.

India and Nepal have a centuries-old and special friendship and cooperation. Partnerships in the field of cooperation have grown significantly in recent years.

“The forthcoming visit will provide an opportunity for the two sides to review this comprehensive partnership and move forward in the interest of the people of the two countries, ” said a statement issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
