Two elderly men held for raping minor girls



DHANGADHI: Two elderly men have been arrested on the alleged charge of raping minor girls in Kailali.

Acting on complaints lodged by the kin of the victims, police arrested 60-year-old Tilak Shah of Chure rural municipality and another sexagenarian Kallu Damai of Ghodaghodi municipality for raping 11-year-old girls.

According to DSP Bed Prakash Joshi, Shah raped the minor girl when she was herding cattle in the jungle on Saturday.

Likewise, Damai was arrested for raping another minor girl of the similar age in Ghodaghodi rural municipality, said DSP Laxman Bahadur Shahi of Area Police Office, Sukhad.

The incident was public on Sunday even though the crime occurred few days earlier.
