Clashes between police and businessmen in Dhanusha



JANAKPURDHAM: Police have taken to tear gas to curb the clash between police and local businessmen in Bideha Municipality of Dhanusha on Sunday.

According to SP Basanta Rajaure, the Chief of Dhanusha District Police, a clash broke out between police and local businessmen in a dispute that started over a fire at a shop near Tinkauriya Chowk.

SP Rajaure informed that  the local businessmen had protested against the fire saying that the municipality had been indifferent towards minimizing the crimes and it never heeded to their call for the installation of CCTV camera.

The businessmen accused the municipal officials of provoking the crimes and organized a protest against the municipality authority.

Some minor injuries were reported in the clash.

Police took to tear gas shots to curb the situation.
