Melamchi water to arrive in Kathmandu by mid-April



KATHMANDU: The preparation to resume the Melamchi Water Supply Project, which was heavily damaged by the monsoon floods, has reached the final stage.

The government is making preparations to bring the Melamchi water to Kathmandu on April 14.

Currently, the debris sedimented on the main entrance of the tunnel is being removed, said the Ministry of Water Supply.

Minister for Water Supply Uma Kanta Chaudhary on Wednesday inspected the flood-hit Melamchi project.
