S Korea to recruit 9,654 Nepalis; opens application forms



KATHMANDU: Application forms for Korean Language tests under the Employment Permit System (EPS) have been opened.

Issuing a notice today, the EPS, Korea Section opened the application forms for Nepali nationals seeking jobs in South Korea.
The South Korean government is making preparations to recruit 9,654 qualified Nepali people in 2022.

Of them, 6,913 will be recruited in the manufacturing sector while 2,741 will be inducted in the agriculture and livestock sector.

According to the notice, application forms can be submitted from March 28 to April 4. Field-based skills and the Korean language competence are examined during the test. The fee for the application form has been fixed at US$ 24.

The linguistic caliber and field-based skills test for those who have applied for the agriculture and livestock will be held on May 9 to 27 in the first phase and from June 7 to 30 in the second phase.

Similarly, the linguistic competence and filed-based skills for those applying for the manufacturing sector will be held on July 4 to August 26 in the first phase and from September 1 to October 7 in the second phase, according to the notice.
