Questions raised over conduct of CPN-US ministers at party’s Central Committee meet

KATHMANDU: Questions have been raised over the working style and conduct of CPN-Unified Socialist (CPN-US) ministers in the coalition government.

In the ongoing Central Committee meeting of the CPN-US in Kathmandu on Thursday, the party raised questions over CPN-US Ministers in government. The skepticism arose in course of presenting summary of group-wise discussions.

CPN-US leader Gangalal Tuladhar said that questions were raised stating that party leaders who are Ministers tend to work against the party’s directives and code, and there seemed to be a lack of coordination between the Ministers and the party.

He said as Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) dispute within the party was now over, it would be appropriate for respected leader Jhala Nath Khanal to take up other issues for discussion. He viewed that the alliance should be maintained in the local level elections to defeat the reactionary elements.

Earlier on Wednesday, the party had formed nine groups to discuss the political report submitted by party Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal.
