Nepal sees 194 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 23 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 194 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday. There was one coronavirus-related death in the country in the last 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases today, 74 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 120 from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one coronavirus-related death has been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,949 to date.

Similarly, Kathmandu valley witnessed 23 coronavirus cases in past 24 hours with five 16 cases in Kathmandu, seven in Lalitpur district.

Currently, there are 5,875 active cases in the country as 348 infected patients recovered.
