Strengthening party only option: Senior leader Poudel

DAMAULI: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress Ramchandra Poudel has said there was no option but to move ahead by strengthening party organization. Poudel said it while addressing a cadres’ meet organized at Dumre in Tahanu district on Monday.

He stressed the need for making party robust and united in the wake of coming local level elections. “We can face the election bravely if we are united. So, the misunderstanding and differences in the party must be wiped out to ensure party’s victory. Unity is strength,” he stressed before the cadres. He urged the party leaders and cadres to serve people, reaching their door steps.

He further said the current four-party alliance must be given continuity to protect constitution. Alliance has the benefit, as it helps secure more votes to Nepali Congress, according to him. The senior leader reminded that the alliance was made for the protection of constitution.

On a different note, he viewed time has come to dispel the misinformation spread on Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact. The MCC compact is for Nepal’s development and poverty alleviation.

Leader Poudel also attended a condolence gathering at Devghat Rural Municipality-3 on Monday itself.
