CPN-US’ Politburo passes Chair Nepal’s political report



KATHMANDU: A Politburo meeting of CPN-Unified Socialist (CPN-US) has passed the political report presented by Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The meeting held in Kathmandu on Monday passed the chairman’s report that also included contemporary political situation and the party’s upcoming action plan.

According to CPN-US Deputy General Secretary and Spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada, the meeting passed the report by incorporating the suggestions gathered from 37 politburo members.

He said that the report would be presented at the Central Committee meeting starting on March 9.

Khatiwada also said the party would now focus on the upcoming local elections. He said Chair Nepal’s report mentioned that Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact was ratified by making it serve the interest of the country and was election centric-action plan.

The report also incorporated dissent of some leaders including, the respected leader Jhala Nath Khanal.
