U.S. Army Officer Cadets attend briefing on disaster management

KATHMANDU: As a part of cultural and leadership exchange program, thirty five U.S. Army Officer Cadets, led by Lieutenant Colonel Calina Creech, Professor of Military Science, Auburn University attended briefing session on disaster management at Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal in Kathmandu.

During the briefing session experiences on engagement of police personnel during rescue, relief and recovery in the aftermath of various disasters, from earthquakes and landslides to air and road crashes, were shared with the participants in an intensively interactive manner.

The team leader Lt. Col. Creech also met with the Chief of Nepal Police Inspector General (IG) Sarbendra Khanal to discuss about the visit, where she appreciated the role of Nepal Police at times of grave calamities.
