KATHMANDU: Rape accused CPN-UML lawmaker Mohan Baniya has been suspended from his position on Sunday.

In the Sunday’s Parliament meeting, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota informed the House of Representatives (HoR)  that Baniya, who was arrested on the charge of rape, has been suspended till further notice.

The case against Baniya is being investigated by the District Police Office, Banke.
