Maoist Center postpones CC meeting till Monday

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the Maoist Center, which was postponed on Friday and scheduled for 11 am Sunday has been postponed again till Monday.

The Maoist Center is attempting to patch up the differences that evolved after leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha openly challenged the view of party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ that parliamentary ratification of the US grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) was not the need of the time.

The faction led by party leader Shrestha had on Friday put different views on the MCC’s passage in the parliament.

Shrestha alleged Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” for being a broker in the interpretative declaration.

Prachanda, meanwhile, has already submitted a proposal of the decision to ratify the MCC in Friday’s meeting.
