Kalikot getting 33-KVA transmission line

MANMA: A 33-KVA transmission line is to be installed in Kalikot. The 11-KVA transmission line installed from Dullu of Dailekh to Jumla via Kalikot is going to be expanded to 33-KVA transmission line.

Technician at the Nepal Electricity Authority, Distribution Centre, Kalikot, Jay Prasad Pandey, said that the 33-KVA transmission line is to be installed in place of the 11-KVA transmission line in order to meet the high demand of the electricity.

According to the Distribution Center, it would take one week to install the transmission line and power supply would remain disrupted from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm every day from today (Saturday) to next Sunday.

Out of 10 districts of Karnali Province, Humla, Mugu and Dolpa have no access to the national grid.

The 11- KVA national transmission line was installed in Kalikot and Jumla in the last fiscal year.
