A smart lockdown had been effective in the valley since February 6. Kathmandu DAO had relaxed restrictions and allowed small-scale gatherings to take place since then. Vaccination card was made mandatory to enter shopping malls, department stores, banks and other public spaces.

Likewise, night businesses such as dance bars, dohoris, lounge, pubs and clubs were allowed to operate only till 10 pm from March 13.

With DAO’s Friday’s notice, all restrictions that were issued have been lifted.
