Nepal sees 126 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 35 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 126 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 111 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 15 from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one coronavirus-related death has been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,945 to date.

Similarly, Kathmandu valley witnessed 35 coronavirus cases in past 24 hours with 25 new cases in Kathmandu, four in Bhaktapur and six in Lalitpur district.

Currently, there are 7,242 active cases in the country as 385 infected patients recovered.
