HoR meeting taking place first time following MCC ratification today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place for the first time following the ratification of the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) today.

The meeting will take place at the federal parliament building in New Baneshwor at 1 pm. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will table an annual report of the National Information Commission for the Fiscal Year 2077/78 BS.

Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Ale will submit a proposal regarding the Nepal Air Service Authority Bill, 2076 for discussions in the meeting.

“Nepal Air Service Authority Bill, 2076 will be tabled in today’s meeting for consideration,” said Bharat Raj Gautam, the general secretary of the federal parliament.

Main opposition CPN-UML, however, is likely to disrupt the HoR meeting today. It has been disrupting the House meeting stating that Speaker Agni Sapkota did not take action against its 14 lawmakers including senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal who defected to form CPN (Unified Socialist).
