Orientation given to Karnali Province members

KARNALI: The Karnali Province members have been given orientation on crisis communications, role of people’s representatives, measures of effective communications and good governance.

At the orientation organized Ministry of Health and Population with the coordination of the National Assembly, and technical assistance of WHO Nepal Office, the Province Assembly members were also made aware how the vaccination could be boosted and people involved in health and social campaigns.

Spread of scientific information and process during health crisis was also focused during the event.

The ministry officials and WHO specialists presented working papers on mental health, public health, strategy to adopt against COVID-19, and directive issued recently on crisis communications and community participation.

Vaccination programme chief at WHO Nepal Dr Binod Bura stressed the role of people’s representatives to make the anti-COVID vaccination nationwide.

Director at Family Welfare Division of Health Service Department Dr Bibek Kumar Lal viewed everyone has the role to dispel the vaccine hesitancy.
