KATHMANDU: Popular folk singer and cine artist Jayananda Lama has passed away.

Lama passed away on Tuesday night, informed Producer and Director Deepa Shree Niraula.

Born in Bahrabise of Sindhupalchowk in 2013 BS, Lama has sung many folk songs including Kalakatte Kainyo, Chuin Chuin Chunkane Jutta, Herdama Ramro, Mulako Chana that have won hearts of many music lovers.

Besides, he has acted in over a dozen Nepali cine films including Bandh and Chhakka Panja and other tele serials.
