Unified Socialist calls Secretariat meeting to discuss MCC



KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist party has called a meeting of its Secretariat following differences of opinion within the party over the US project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Chief of the Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada said that the Secretariat meeting will be held today afternoon.

Senior leaders of the party have been divided on the issue.

Party’s senior leader Jhalanath Khanal and others have said that the party’s Standing Committee has not agreed to table MCC Compact in the Parliament while leaders close to party Chairman Madhav Nepal side claim that the party has decided to table MCCin the HoR.
