Police resort to firing to control mob in Baneshwor



KATHMANDU: The police have opened fire against the protesters in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

New Baneshwor area had been heavily crammed by the demonstrators protesting against the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact from early morning.

According to police, the agitating mass turned aggressive and started pelting bricks and stones at the police compelling them to use rubber bullets at Bijuli Bazaar, Baneshwor in Kathmandu.

Various organization have organized New Baneshwor-centered protest program against MCC since past few days.
