Ruling alliance is bound to break: UML leader Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmaker Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has said the current ruling coalition is bound to collapse.

Talking to media persons after the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, he said that the ruling coalition was an unnatural one lacking a strong foundation and was bound to break. He added the UML would act as per the spirit of Article 76 of the constitution if the alliance breaks.

“The UML’s priority now is the elections.” Upcoming local levels, provincial and federal elections are are the UML’s priority. This ruling alliance has weak foundations and it is bound to break,” Bhattarai said.

He further added that if the alliance breaks down, then the constitutional provision will be implemented. He also argued that the parliament could not be dissolved as long as the constitution provisions for the formation of another government.
