Nepal sees 437 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 89 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 437 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Friday. Nepal recorded 570 new coronavirus cases and six deaths on Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 275 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 162 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 68 cases in Kathmandu, 2 in Bhaktapur and 19 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 89 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,913 to date.

Currently, there are 14,435 active cases in the country as 2,454 infected patients recovered.
