NC leader Rijal meets UML Chair Oli in Balkot before coalition meet



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Minendra Rijal has held discussion with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Thursday afternoon.

Rijal reached Oli’s residence in Balkot amid disagreements among the ruling coalition over the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Rijal discussed issues related to MCC and parliamentary obstruction with the opposition leader before the ruling coalition meeting set for later today.

A meeting of the ruling parties is called for this evening.

Earlier, ruling coalition leaders from Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) held separate discussions.

Maoist Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stressed keeping the coalition intact and the Unified Socialist decided to vote against MCC if it was forwarded sans consensus of all the parties.
