Nepal sees 570 new coronavirus cases, six deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 143 new cases

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 570 new cases of coronavirus and six deaths in the past 24 hours as of Thursday. Nepal recorded 639 new coronavirus cases and three deaths on Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 364 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 206 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 116 cases in Kathmandu, 9 in Bhaktapur and 18 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 143 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, six coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,911 to date.

Currently, there are 19,400 active cases in the country as 1,993 infected patients recovered.
