Govt orders DAO to maintain peace and order in view of Nepal Banda called by six parties



KATHMANDU: The government has instructed the district administration offices (DAO) to maintain peace and security after five political parties and one outfit called for a Nepal Bandh on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a circular to DAOs saying that it received information that six political organizations, including the Communist Party of Nepal, will hold a torch procession this evening and call for a Nepal Bandh on February 16.

Leftist parties have called for a Nepal Bandh saying that the government is going to table the MCC in the parliament tomorrow.
