Nepal sees 680 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 222 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 680 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday. Nepal recorded 747 new coronavirus cases and eight deaths on Monday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 498 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 182 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 170 cases in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur and 28 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 222 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,902 to date.

Currently, there are 19,400 active cases in the country as 1,835 infected patients recovered.
