Nepali Congress holding a PP meeting today



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of the parliamentary party (PP) today.

The meeting to be held at the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor at 9 am is scheduled to discuss the latest political developments, impeachment motion against Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, among other issues.

Three parties — NC, Maoist Center and Unified Socialist — of the ruling alliance had on Sunday filed an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Rana.

The ruling coalition filed an impeachment motion against Rana in the parliament secretariat alleging that Rana is increasing his activities through the Judicial Council.
