Nepal sees 747 new coronavirus cases, eight deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 747 new cases of coronavirus and eight deaths in the past 24 hours as of Monday. Nepal recorded 521 new coronavirus cases and 10 deaths on Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 482 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 265 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 181 cases in Kathmandu, 15 in Bhaktapur and 30 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 226 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,900 to date.

Currently, there are 20,739 active cases in the country as 2,319 infected patients recovered.
