Finance Ministry appoints new director generals in key departments



KATHMANDU: The Finance Ministry has appointed new director-generals in key departments under it.

Ritesh Kumar Shakya has been appointed as the director-general of the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).

The Finance Ministry gave Shakya, who is joint secretary and spokesperson of the ministry, the responsibility of IRD on Sunday.

Shakya is placed at IRD following the transfer of the Director-General Shobha Kant Poudel to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.

Similarly, Chief of training at the Public Finance Management Training Center, Kamal Bhattarai has been appointed the director-general of the Customs Department.
