NC Central Working Committee concludes MCC should be ratified from parliament



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has agreed unanimously to pass the US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) project from the parliament at the earliest.

The NC meeting held in Sanepa on Thursday afternoon concluded that MCC should be ratified and taken ahead for implementation.

According to sources, the CWC meeting also discussed on other agendas including the preparations for the local elections, management of sister organizations and 16 district working committees that are yet to carry out the conventions, among other issues.

Earlier, NC spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, had notified that all the 37 office bearers including the Prime Minister and President Sher Bahadur Deuba were participating in the meeting.
