KABUL: Explosion of ‘suicide car bomb’ killed seven people early Friday morning in Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan. Exact numbers of causalities are still not known, says Firdous Faramaz, Chief Spokesman Kabul Police.

The attacker struck in the eastern Yakatot neighborhood — the place where US and NATO maintains complexes and these facilities are also used by the Afghan National Security Forces as well.

Car bomb targeted convoy of foreign forces in Kabul. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast.

On Thursday, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL also known as ISIS) claimed responsibility of a suicide attack outside a military training academy which killed at least six people.
