Maoist Center holding internal discussion on MCC



KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center is holding discussions to form a common view on the United States assistance Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact.

This comes after the correspondence between MCC and Maoist Chair Prachanda and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba got leaked in the media Sunday.

According to leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the Maoist Center will formulate a clear position on the MCC through internal discussions as questions have been raised about Maoist Center’s stand on the issue.

Earlier, the Maoist leaders had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Deuba. During the telephone conversation, the Maoist leaders objected to correspondence leak.
