CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Nepal highlights state responsibility to protect the language, culture 



KATHMANDU: Chairman of CPN-Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal said it was the prime responsibility of the State to protect the language, culture, and identity of all ethnic groups and communities of the country.

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar today, former Prime Minister Nepal wished for the good health, longevity, and progress of all sisters and brothers.

He termed the indigenous traditions, rituals, and culture of different communities as the fundamental identity markers and treasures of Nepali people and the country.

Noting that such festivals have significantly contributed to keeping intact social harmony and national unity, he expressed his belief that the Sonam Lhosar would also inspire all of us to build a socialist country marked with social justice and equality.
