The DAO provided a fiber quilt and 30 kg of rice each to 25 households at Tingla.

The cost for this would be borne from the district disaster fund.

Chief District Officer Ganesh Bikram Shahi informed that the assistance was provided as per the plan of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and the Home secretary.

Other households suffering from the cold in the district would be identified and provided such assistance, the DOA said, hoping that it would be a huge relief to the poor family.

Meanwhile, receiving the assistance, local Chhatra Bahadur Bhujel said the assistance was a huge relief to the people like him, who run family with daily wage braving biting cold.
