Kathmandu Valley reports 2,940 Covid cases

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley has reported as many as 2,940 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, while Kathmandu saw 2,153 new cases, Lalitpur witnessed 519, and Bhaktapur reported 268 new cases of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, as of Friday, the number of active infected people in the country has reached 8,941 while 8,884 people are in home isolation.

Likewise, 256 are undergoing treatment in different ICUs and 45 are on ventilators, according to the Health Ministry.
