Complaint lodged with Rautahat police against Minister Yadav

SAPTARI: A complaint has been lodged with Rautahat police against Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Renu Kumari Yadav.

Minister Yadav gave a provocative statement threatening to kill Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut at a program held to mark Madhes Sacrifice Day in Rautahat last week.

Former lawmaker and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ranjit Karna filed a complaint of treason against Minister Yadav and demanded an investigation reasoning that the Minister’s statement provoked communal conflict in the nation.

Leader Karna said he sent the complaint to the District Police Office, Rautahat, by post after District Police Office, Saptari, refused to register his complaint. He also submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba through Saptari Chief District Officer Janardan Gautam on Thursday.
