Nepali students in Australia allowed to work more than 20 hours a week



KATHMANDU: Nepali students will be allowed to work more than 20 hours a week in Australia.

The Australian government has made arrangements for Nepali students to work more than 20 hours a week in the coming days.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khan had requested during a courtesy call on the Australian Ambassador to Nepal Felicity Volk.

A statement from the Australian Prime Minister on Wednesday stated: “Apart from studying, Nepali students will be allowed to work more than 20 hours a week.”

Nepali students who fly to Australia for the next 8 weeks will also get back the visa application fee.

Home Minister Khan thanked the Australian government for implementing the request made by Ambassador Volk within a week.
