Prime Minister Deuba to address the nation

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is going to make his first television address to the nation ever since he became the prime minister.

He is preparing to coincide his address with the completion of six-month of his government. However, the date and time of PM’s address are yet to be fixed. It is likely PM will address the nation Tuesday or Wednesday.

“The prime minister will address in a day or two,” said Bhanu Deuba, the prime minister’s personal secretary.

Addressing the nation is a tradition every prime minister carries forward.

However, PM Deuba, who became the country’s prime minister for the fifth time, has not addressed the nation in the six months since his government was formed.

Deuba was appointed prime minister on July 13, 2021. He addressed the parliament after securing the vote of confidence then.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the achievements of the six months of the government would be made public through the address of the Prime Minister.
