KATHMANDU: An international conference on Himalayan tourism cooperation is taking place for the first time in Nepal on May 29.
To be organized by the International Himalayan Tourism Cooperation in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Association of Tours &Travel Agents (NATTA), more than 150 representatives from various organizations working in mountain sector of various 10 countries will participate, said NATTA President CN Pandey.
The venue for the conference is Hotel Yak & Yeti. “The conference will help make ‘Visit Nepal Year, 2020’ a success,” he said. Likewise, 250 Nepali representatives who work in tourism sector will participate.
More than 120 pictures of mountains will be put on display, and various tourism organisations are scheduled to present working papers on mountains, said Pandey.
