KATHMANDU: With the weather gradually improving, flight services have resumed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) – the only international airport in Nepal.

Flights have started landing and taking-off at the TIA after the thick fogs and mists are gradually subsiding, informed the TIA office.

Four Kathmandu-bound international airplanes have been diverted. They were diverted after the visibility in Kathmandu did not improve even for three hours. Pilots had kept holding them in the sky of Simara in hopes of weather improvement.

Three airplanes were diverted to Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, while the other one was diverted to Kolkata, according to the TIA office.

The flight services were disrupted at the TIA due to thick flogs since early morning.
