Election Commission discussing local election date with PM Deuba



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) is holding discussions with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss on the date for the local elections.

According to Election Commission Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel, EC is holding talk with Prime Minister Deuba Friday afternoon.

EC has planned to conduct election at all local levels by next April.

The term of the local level people’s representatives is coming to an end on March 19. Chief Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya informed that the commission is preparing to hold the election on May 3, 2022.
