CPN (Unified Socialist) chair Nepal says the party is with the Speaker

POKHARA: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said his party is with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota in connection with sorting out the current stalemate in parliament.

The main opposition party, CPN (UML) has been obstructing the meeting of the Lower House of the Federal Parliament since its earlier session, citing the Speaker failed to issue a notice of action it had taken against 14 of its lawmakers.

Leader Nepal was addressing the provincial level party cadres training organized by the CPN (Unified Socialist) Gandaki Province Committee in Pokhara today. He contended that those following the rule of law and accepting constitutional supremacy should accept the Supreme Court verdict.

“The UML Chair KP Oli cannot chide you the Speaker on this matter. You are not alone. We are with you. Move ahead with the parliament business with determination,” the CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair said.

He said they had revolted against the then UML and against the autocratic tendency of its leadership to salvage the communist movement, taking a courageous step to form the CPN (Unified Socialist).

CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair said their party would move ahead towards building a prosperous and beautiful society by ending poverty and anomalies while internalizing the communist ideals and values at the same time establishing the party in the country’s political edifice.

Noting that ‘Oliarchy’ was seen in place of the monarchy when the UML Chair Oli was the Prime Minister, former PM Nepal argued that the present five-party ruling alliance was against this Oliarchy and autocracy of a person.

He accused the UML of violating the constitutional and parliamentary decorum by obstructing the parliament.
Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Kisan Shrestha said the CPN (Unified Socialist) party would be made the ace party in the Gandaki province in the coming days.

The party senior leaders will be imparting training to the party cadres on various subjects in course of the training.
