Police nab three plunderers stealing gold chains



NAWALPUR: Nawalpur Police has arrested three armed looters trying to break a gold chain worn by a woman at Amarapuri, Gaindakot Monday evening.

According to the District Police Office, Kawasoti, Ashish Sunar of Gaindakot, Sanjay Gurung of Susta and Ram Bahadur Chhetri of Rupaulia were arrested for trying to escape by snatching the chain worn by Anita Shrestha.

While fleeing after looting the gold, the locals surrounded and arrested them on Monday night. A new German-made revolver and four rounds of ammunition were also recovered from them, police said.

Sanjay and Ram Bahadur, both from Nawalparasi West, are found to be the professional plunderers.

Police are investigating further to explore their connection with weapon traders.
