NEPSE decreases by 4.23 points today



KATHMANDU: NEPSE decreases by 4.23 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2414.62 points.

A total of 9.87 million shares of 228 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 4.58 billion.

On Wednesday, the trading subgroup has increased by 1.2 percent, development bank by 0.95 percent, hydro subgroup by 0.28 percent, finance by  2.21 percent, non-life insurance by 0.26 percent, manufacturing and production by 0.14 percent, mutual funds by 0. 04, investment by 0.62 percent while other subgroups declined.

Similarly, A total of 165.9 million shares of Mahalakshmi Development Bank, 158.5 million shares of National Hydropower and 188.9 million shares of Api Power were traded on Nepse today.

Of the 189 companies traded on Nepse today, the share price of 96 companies has increased and the share price of 84 companies has decreased. Share prices of nine companies remained stable.

Among the traded stocks, Samling Power Company’s share price increased the most by 9.98 percent, followed by Divyashwori Hydropower’s 7.78 percent and Ankhukhola Hydropower Company’s 7.74 percent. Shares of Naya Sarathi Microfinance increased by 5.34 percent while Janaki Finance decreased by 3.77 percent.
