‘Pakistan ready to talk with new Indian government’: Qureshi



NEW DELHI: Pakistan is ready to hold talks with India to resolve outstanding issues, says Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistan Foreign Minister. Qureshi said so while he was addressing an Iftar dinner in Multan on Saturday.

Qureshi’s remark hold significance as Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues for second consecutive term.

Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan had earlier greeted PM Modi and congratulated him on his electoral triumph through a tweet: “I congratulate Prime Minister Modi on the electoral victory of BJP and allies. Look forward to working with him for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia.”
