Close aide to BJP leader Smriti Irani shot dead



NEW DELHI: A close aide of BJP leader Smriti Irani, Surendra Singh, was shot at in Amethi’s Baraulia village by unidentified assailants late Saturday night.

Singh, the former village head of Baraulia village was shot at his residence. He was rushed to Lucknow in a serious condition and he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
