As per 14th general convention schedule, candidacies are to be filed Saturday

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that he will make his election strategy public only on Saturday.

The 14th general convention of the NC starting Friday has a schedule of filing candidacy on Saturday.

Addressing general convention delegates of his faction Thursday, Sitaula said he would make public his faction’s election strategy only on Saturday, adding, “The campaign of unity in the party would start from where I stand. My priority is to look after friends aligned with me than myself.”

Sitaula, an influential leader in the party, is also an aspirant for the post of party president. However, he has not yet decided whether to run for office.

Sitaula faction, in the meantime, formed an alliance with the establishment faction led by NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba during the district and provincial conventions held as part of the 14th general convention.
