KATHMANDU: A faction of Nepali Congress (NC) led by Krishna Prasad Sitaula is holding a meeting today.
The meeting will take place at the liaison office of leader Sitaula at Gaushala at 3 pm. All the leaders loyal to Sitaula are said to be attending the meeting.
Earlier, the faction’s meeting held at Chandol on Wednesday had entrusted Sitaula to decide whether to support the other faction in the party or to contest the presidential election himself.
NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel yesterday met with Sitaula and asked the latter to support him.
Most of the leaders close to Sitaula have suggested that they should extend support to President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
